I've never seen a sky on fire like this before, nor since. I was focused on the changing colors in the sky to the North and East when I glanced behind me to see this incredible scene to the West. I was fortunate to capture the peak of the light show just a few moments later. The view is of the Panamint Range as seen from Badwater Basin in Death Valley, California.
